WELCOME TO OUR GAME!

We’ve been playing low stakes hold’em in Calgary since March, 2015. We run really friendly and professionally run games (in our humble opinion), and we’re always looking to make new friends. What other home poker game are you going to find:

We’re located in the Deer Run community of Calgary, Alberta, minutes away from Anderson and Deerfoot.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Click on a question below to reveal the answer.

DO YOU CHARGE A RAKE?

No rake! We have never taken one, we never will. This means that 100% of your money is paid out to the winners.

WHAT ARE YOUR BLIND LEVELS AND PAYOUT STRUCTURES?
Do you have designated dealers?

We do have designated dealers! There is a group of players who regularly attend that volunteer to deal while playing at every game.

Each table has two decks of cards. When you are on the dealer button, it will be your turn to shuffle. When the dealer starts dealing for each hand, they’ll always cut the cards, then deal them out.

If it happens that our volunteer dealers all get eliminated from the tournament, players will then take turns dealing. When you are on the button, it will be your turn to deal. Once you’re finished, you will shuffle the cards, then pass them to the next dealer, who will cut them and start dealing.

WHAT IF i’M RUNNING LATE?

No worries if you’re running late! Late registration is allowed for the first hour (except for shootout tournaments). If you have reserved your seat and let me know you’re going to be only a few minutes late, we’ll save your spot. Otherwise we will need to unregister you from the tournament, and you can re-register when you arrive.

how does the waitlist work?
  1. At 7pm anyone not in their seats will be unregistered, and we will fill seats from the waitlist.
  2. If you are unregistered, you can get on the waitlist by registering for the tourney titled ‘WAITLIST’. Priority will be given to the earliest registrant on the waitlist who is present.
  3. As people are knocked out of the tourney, we will fill seats from the waitlist until every name on the list has had the chance to join the tourney, no matter how long it takes. When your name is called, you’ll have the choice whether you would like to take the empty seat or not.
How is the parking situation?

There are spots for 4 cars in the driveway. Once those are full I ask that you do not hang over the driveway, so we don’t block the neighbours. There’s plenty of street parking.

How late do your games normally run?

The main tournament usually wraps up around 1am, and the cash game shuts down at 2am.
